sooo let’s assess this situation

  • dean feels responsible for kevin’s death
  • charlie is in the wind
  • garth has settled down probably for good
  • dean left cas after saying he didn’t deserve to have friends essentially
  • and was on a self-loathing spree for 3-4 whole episodes
  • was told in the last episode that his brother no longer wanted to be his brother and that hell not closing was entirely his fault
  • after doing what he thought was the right thing (because no one up to this point has told dean it was the wrong thing)
  • and we now have dean terrified of being alone
  • and being told that if he were to die sam would leave him dead because sam doesn’t need him
  • dean was never told by cas that he was needed
  • and was never told by sam that he was needed
  • he got one of his best friends killed by trying to do the right thing and by needing sam
  • and HE’S DRINKING AGAIN
  • TELL ME WHERE I SHOULD BE REALLY HAPPY W/ALL THIS
