This makes me very sad. Kim Rhodes is amazing as Sheriff Jody Mills. The idea that CW would discard her in network casting considerations for a spin off because of her age when they have shows like “The 100” doing doing so well is appalling.
This a) pisses me off, and b) makes me wonder if there actually is a possible spinoff that will achieve the apparently competing goals of both retaining as much as possible of the existing SPN audience and fitting in better with the CW’s vibe/style/aesthetic/whatever you want to call it.
The CW network executives can kindly go forth and eat dirty socks until they choke.
