Full disclosure: I’m THAT fan. You know, the one who keeps a pen and paper in hand when I rewatch shows and tracks random stats. Over the past four months, I’ve been bingeing on s1-10 of Supernatural.
I have 5 books FULL of notes, stats, and quotes. no joke.
It’s a little excessive, I’ll admit. But I have found some very interesting things! I only tracked things like on-screen deaths and savings. I also left out mass murders and mass savings (llike the whole world, numerous times) because they can’t be quantified
First of all, the whole reason I started this was to prove how silly the “no chick flic moments” line was. This stat is pretty subjective, depending on what your definition of a “chick flick moment” is.
uh huh, ok Dean. What about the 219 moments in ten seasons? s8 had the most with 37 moments and s2 had the fewest with 17
How about the “saving people hunting things” stats? They’re a little depressing…
Total number of people saved: 178. In s6, they only saved three.
The second part of that is Hunting Things, so…
they’ve killed 516 monsters. S9 was a bad year for monsters with 87 and s2 saw the death of only 16.
The saddest stat is how many on-screen human deaths happened. Now granted, a LOT of these were beginning of the episode deaths that set up the story for that week. But regardless…
408 people have died on screen, not counting mass murders. s6 was the worst with 52 deaths, but even the season with the “least” had a ton of deaths at 37
