So, Nine Times We Met was beautiful and heart-wrenching and adorable and I'm crying--but also laughing through my tears because they are grumpy old men. I love your writing and I loved this story. <3 (You really enjoy writing endings where you make the reader think that Dean or Cas is going to leave the other one alone don't you?) You are hands down my favorite fanfic writer--I've loved everything I've read of yours--and I look forward to your next piece!

/hands you tissues

…my endings always end up like that, I should really stop doing that D:

I’m your favourite too?? thank you oh dear god thank you

Your Christmas story was the most disgustingly beautifully painfully fanfiction I've ever read. I think it was way better and more emotionally then twist and shout tbh. It was so fucking good. It's like. My favourite fanfiction ever. Minus the gross sobbing that I'm still currently doing. Like it hurts so badly but it's so good. Oh my God I just loved it so much just it was perfect

Oh! oh my god… thank you ??!

…I’m just sitting here like o____o;;; thaaaank

i dont think ill ever be able to get over how good you are at writing. Every single fic is as absolute masterpiece. That last one made me cry but the ending was so perfect. I cant put into words how gifted you are at telling to stories of dean and cas. Thank you so much *hugs*

I had a legit hand-to-heart moment in reaction to this message. Thank you so much, you’ve reassured me no end. (And damn, you read fast) *hugs back*

On the last day of school before Christmas vacation, Mr. Castiel Quinn discovers that one of his young students has smuggled male pornography into the classroom. Upon being told that the photos belong to the boy’s uncle, Castiel vows to himself that he will keep the other man’s preferences a secret. It’s 1947; a man experiencing attraction to another man or fantasising about his sexual touch are transgressive faults, which could potentially result in imprisonment - or worse. But then the uncle walks in. The photos are of him: Dean Winchester, a rogue with an empty pocket and a child to feed. Castiel doesn’t know it yet, but his life is never going to be the same again. Years pass between chance meetings, but even though they live their lives apart, Dean and Castiel’s story is proof that absence truly does make the heart grow fonder.

the penultimate chapter 9 is now up!

Tell me if I read your updating fic is it gonna make me happy or sad or sad for a bit but ultimately happy because I cANT DEAL WITH SADNESS FICS RIGHT NOW but I still want to read it.

I really don’t know, I think everyone would interpret it with different levels of emotionality. There’s very sad bits and very happy bits, and even though there’s an underlying tone of misery, there’s also copious amounts of happy and fluff. Overall, I’d call it a mostly-happy fic. The ending will probably make you cry, but it’s mostly happy crying??? It’s a rollercoaster of feels. …Obviously my final answer is gonna be “read it and find out”

I’M SORRY. It was really fun to write and I’m always really surprised when people cry at things I wrote. I’ve gotten better at knowing what makes people cry but I’m not the best person to ask. Ali beta’d for me and she seems to think it was a happy fic even though she cried. If I were you I’d go with her judgement rather than mine.

chapter 6 is now up!

risencas asked:
I just read what you have up so far of Nine Times We Met, and if it's not doing as well as your usual stuff I HIGHLY doubt that it's because people aren't enjoying it, because it's great so far. :) Most likely they're just waiting till it's done (I'm probably going to wait to read the rest--I want to have enough that I can really get into the story. Also "major character suicide" is freaking me out a little.)

I never read WIPs myself, so I can understand waiting. I just hope people don’t forget to come back when it’s done.

The major character suicide thing is mostly there as a trigger warning. I don’t think the final chapter is actually anything to worry about - that is, as far as usual associated feels would go when one thinks of such things. I like to think of it as a happy ending, but I wouldn’t tag it with happy ending in case someone disagreed due to the tear tracks down their face. I cried while writing it… but I still made myself really happy by the end, so I have no idea how other people will take it. My dear friend Ali, who proof-read the story for me, is of the opinion that it is a happy ending… but crying also happened. (I have yet to see the photo evidence of this, but I’m inclined to believe it, since it was a bucket-for-your-tears thing. But HAPPY.)
