game-of-destiel:

i think what a lot of people are missing right now is that dean beat an ANGEL unconscious with his BARE HANDS…

LIKE HOLY CRAP MAN WHAT THE FUCK?!?!

Which is another piece of evidence that even just the Mark of Cain is giving Dean not only more stamina, but also more power. Last time he tried to hit an angel he almost broke his hand

boazpriestly:

Everything Dean did in last night’s episode shows that Dean wants nothing more than for someone to stop him. And the two biggest actions that support this are the way Dean was rubbing the mark in front of Sam and Dean patting Cas’ shoulder with his marked arm instead of the other. In the former, Dean was leaving room for a dialogue, opening up and hoping that Sam would take the bait and take notice, but Dean wasn’t yet ready to meet in the middle yet and start taking about it. And in the latter, Dean did the same thing with Cas, except this time Dean gave more info to Cas than he gave to Sam, but only because Sam already knows what Dean told Cas. Dean is passively trying to get people to notice what the mark is doing to him, but he doesn’t even understand it himself. He’s silently begging for help and asking anyone who notices to stop him. And it’s only going to bite him in the ass later, because no one can read his mind, not even Cas right now. And until he actively asks someone to stop him, the way Sam did in the church, then he’s going to be at the mercy of the mark and he’s going to go darkside really quick, and then it’ll be almost impossible for anyone to save him.

“I could recognize him by touch alone, by smell; I would know him blind, by the way his breaths came and his feet struck the earth. I would know him in death, at the end of the world.

Next time, it’ll be easier.

So the idea of a sort of reversal of the crypt scene got stuck in my head and wouldn’t let go until this happened.

I can tease that Cas knows what the Mark of Cain is from past experience and he knows that it’s not a good thing. He’s not happy about it. He’s worried about Dean. In fact, I’ll give you a direct quote. Cas says, “I’m worried about him.” So there you go.
Jensen recently told us that Cas might be the one to help Dean now that he’s struggling with the Mark of Cain. Any chance we’ll see that happen? (via crossroadscastiel)

SO GET THIS

jaysisfeck:

The Mark of Cain actually comes with the curse, which , amongst other things, curses the bearer from living as a family unit.

It takes away your family. It took away Cain’s family, and it’s taking Sam away from Dean.

Maybe this is the mark.

Maybe this isn’t just Sam.

dirtyovercoats:

Then the Lord said to him, “Whoever kills Cain will suffer a sevenfold vengeance.” And the Lord put a mark on Cain, so that no one who came upon him would kill him.
