Going to add my frosting in this, I don't see it as bold or arrogant. Your stories are great and go beyond the usual tropes (which is also cool in case that was left out). I mean this comes from people who decided to spend their time reading them and we liked it, plus you are one of the most amazing writers I've got the chance to meet! I really look up to you because of how you are and how you treat your work.

I think the issue was that the anon had seen my post in a tag, had never read any of my stories, so was basing their message on that post alone rather than with any context. so they knew nothing about me, or the fic in question, or the reason the person asked about it…. and I guess it was kind of rude for them to make assumptions, but they weren’t to know. …..but the point still stands that writers should have the freedom to be proud of their work and not be attacked for arrogance
