randomly out of nowhere, one of my dad’s friends just said HERE HAVE CHICKENS and we suddenly owned an extra 6 chickens. including a rooster (who we named Saint. and one of the black hens is named Rogue One). except the rooster we already had (Stanley) is now depressed and sick because he can hear Saint crowing, and turns out nearby competition with bigger feathers and more hens can make roosters die of jealousy

i’m hoping Stanley pulls through and realises we love him more than Saint, even though he’s an asshole who attacks people who throw him food

besides the chickens, the paint is a custom colour. all the purples were NOT RIGHT because barely anyone paints their rooms purple, so the selection wasn’t massive compared to all the whites and beiges. after staring at paint samples for months, i took a dark pink test pot and mixed it with a dark grey testpot, and make a PERFECT COLOUR. and i wrote down the exact proportions (50/50, not exactly complicated) but then the paint shop was all “nope, can’t do it, the stars are not in alignment” so they instead remade the entire colour from scratch and it turned out REALLY GOOD so yep i’m happy with it. decorating is next!!
