so to recap, 9.13 gave us
- a lot of innuendo that Dean swings both ways
- the boys getting caught in a lie about their fake identities, twice
- South American monsters played by Latin@ actors
- adorable lady cop who lived
- both main lady characters survived
- a thorough aversion of the G*psy Curse trope
- passed the Bechdel Test [thank you ladymalchav!]
- a really gross creepy monster
- the boys hunting f’real
- a goddamn load of Winchester sass
- Sam forgetting that normal people aren’t built like brick shithouses like he is
- Dean canonically knowing about roofies from a defensive standpoint
- Sam laying down the law to Dean about his codependent personality disorder being the heart of the problem between them
Yeah. That’s the stuff. This is what I was expecting of these writers. I am well-pleased.
All good things!
I’d add: no overtly awful fat/body shaming (the attitudes shown are realistic/prevalent in society especially amongst women… sadly) AND we got our third human/supernatural being love pairing. So check that off the list, folks.
