So since Misha says he and Baby are ‘quite alike’ and my main focus here is the ‘but we make up 4 it in performance (wiggles eyebrows), can I delve into Cockles/Destiel territory here and say that if we take his words literally, it means that’s Dean/Jensen have rode Cas/Misha? Someone is boasting~

for anyone who doesn’t already know, if your pupils dilate when you look at someone it’s most likely a sign of interest / attraction / arousal (take your pick).
I’m going to talk about Jensen’s pupil dilation for a second, because it’s incredibly obvious compared to whatever Misha’s eyes are doing.
let’s say controlled pupil dilation was possible. Jensen would probably attempt to conquer that ability for the sake of acting better. he’s all about the subtleties. we know that about his acting.
so if Jensen did indeed have impossible eye-controlling superpowers, I have a question. why would Jensen make a point of using that power to show Dean as attracted to Cas? let me list the reasons. 1. he was consciously playing Dean as bisexual, 2. he was invested in Destiel as a romantic relationship from the get-go, 3. both of the above. (of course, this is assuming that he dilated his pupils ~on purpose~.)
the thing is, though, over the years hundreds of actors and actresses came and went, playing other characters who interact with Dean, and Jensen didn’t bother to use this fantastic pupil-dilating power each time Dean was attracted to someone. so what made Misha different? was it that he’d be sticking around, and it was worth putting in the effort? nope. the writers hadn’t even planned on bringing Cas back after the first three episodes of season 4. Misha was supposed to be on set for a few weeks and then he’d be gone. at the time Jensen and Misha met, not expecting it to last, Jensen couldn’t have been deeply invested in Destiel as a future relationship – certainly not enough to care whether or not his goddamn pupils were dilated. this gifset is from the second episode they had together.
sure, Jensen could’ve been going for “the pushy angel turns Dean on”; end of story. whether he played that consciously or not, that’s what became canon. Dean is totally into Cas, hooray! nobody is surprised.
but c’mon, let’s face it. those aren’t magical eye-controlling superpowers. nothing’s happening to the lights to make Jensen’s pupils expand. it’s definitely not CGI. above all: Jensen’s not dilating his pupils on purpose. what you’re looking at is not singularly Dean’s attraction to Cas. you’re seeing Jensen’s attraction to Misha too. these dorks just met two weeks ago (8 days filming each episode), and Jensen is already hopelessly gone on Misha.
in conclusion, this is straight-up Cockles.

Misha’s doing it too, it’s just harder to tell because the angle of the shot’s more oblique.
These pupils are widened but not blown, so I’d call it more sexual interest than all-out arousal, but still, look at that!
I love how we all as a fandom have deeply analysed the dilation of Jensen’s pupils and manage to uncover the truth about his attraction to Misha.
i was watching the real ghostbusters and after the guys who cosplayed sam and dean (im just going to forget that) said they're more than friends.. they're partners and one of them put their head on the other and the other's shoulder for awhile & the other one leaned in... where have i seen that before?? *looks at jensen and misha*
well, obviously i don’t know for sure, no one has explicitly stated who did it. but here is what i know:
+ Jensen’s autographs and Misha’s Castiel photo ops were at the same time.
+ i had a Jensen auto before i did my Cas op. during the auto, Jensen was speaking with his handler about going somewhere. it went a little something like this (paraphrasing here):
+ after my Cas op I was speaking with my friend who was volunteering. i mentioned Jensen’s auto line was still going where as Jared’s was nearly done. she said it’s because Jensen took a “potty break that ended up being quite long” in the middle of his autos.
+ shortly after that the Cas ops ended and Misha posted the video to Facebook.
so i’m not saying Jensen did it for sure, but. i’m saying the shoe fits pretty nicely…
Misha’s panel at VegasCon was wonderful for so many reasons. It was funny, it was adorable, and it was moving. I’ll start with the funny stuff, and the Cockles, because it’s always nice to start with a laugh. If we’re lucky, this will end with Cockles as well.
First of all, we discovered just how shallow Misha’s gag spot is. I mean really? He mimes gagging himself and almost pukes on the floor? Either he’s making it all up (likely) or he really needs to work on his blowjob skills. Jensen probably helped him out with that later…
Then, he starts talking about what a badass Castiel started out as. He thought a fan was disagreeing with him. So he goes into a dorky tough guy impression, only to promptly trip over the weird fucking chairs they had onstage. Smooth, Misha…real smooth. Isn’t that how it always happens, though? Pretend to be something you’re not, and gravity will call your bluff!
And who can forget his Jensen/Dean confusion? Comparing himself to Cas by discussing how he was “all up in Jensen’s grill” and I’m so sure that was past-tense. Nice cover there, Misha. And by nice, I mean completely transparent. Bro, it’s ok. We already know you’re still getting “all up in his grill,” …so to speak.
All the touches are good touches on Supernatural, apparently. And there are a lot of them. Did you see his fucking smile? During this whole segment, my eyes were glued to his face because @ghuune we got a total of *6*almost Unicorn Expressions last weekend! Everything but the teeth, UGH! (you bet your ass I’ll be watching for it at SeaCon this weekend!). That Damned Expression says so much…all the stories flying through his brain as he attempts to sort through them and find at least one that he can share without getting anyone in trouble (or you know, giving away too much information about certain actors and their relationships). Notice how he always comes back to the one story about Jared and the broomstick? It’s probably the only one he can tell, so it’s become the default for when the questions start to hit a little too close to home. Though, he talks about it in the past-tense. “there was a time” and such when talking about the hell Jared puts him through on-set. I don’t think they mess with him nearly as much as they used to. Thank god, poor guy deserves a break…
Basically his face through that entire segment was just priceless. I don’t know if you guys read facial expressions the same way that I do, but this part of the panel had him more amused, happy, and engaged than any other part. It was glorious. I’m sure the entirety of the Acocklypse Survival Club was breathing into paper bags by the time it was over!!
Ok, heavy stuff under the break because wow did this end up longer than I intended…
I may have watched the YANA videos a hundred a dozen times now, and I noticed that there are so many glaring differences between the scripted stuff and what was clearly ad-libbing. It’s harder to tell with Misha as he is more sure of himself, but Jensen gives it away easy.
In the first YANA video for example
Here, Jensen is pretty confident. He knows what he needs to say and do and is super smooth and charming. Soon after though Misha makes the cross-streaming joke and..
SHOULDER BOOP!
From here on, you can see Jensen being adorkable and awkward (I mean he talks about the weather so randomly? Why?) Even Misha seems taken aback for half a second before he recovers and brings the conversation back to topic.
Misha has a gift of making people comfortable and Jensen looks relieved at coming back to the point. And then he turns super awkward and cute again when left alone until Misha comes back to rescue him :)
The next few YANA videos are all scripted so Jensen’s back to being smooth and savvy. Then came my favorite! The NashCon YANA Video.
I love this entire thing so much! It’s obviously unscripted as Jensen’s umming so much and Misha’s doing all the talking and also- Jensen is touchy feely, clinging to Misha for an unusually long time. Misha seems aware of this and he’s so sweetly supportive and it becomes glaringly obvious towards the end where he keeps turning his head to look at Jensen-
I mean, the phone is in SELFIE MODE. He can see Jensen’s reactions (if that’s what he needed to see) ON THE PHONE. But he doesn’t, because he knows Jensen feels reassured when he looks at him. Jensen goes for another shoulder boop..
and that fond little head tilt is JUST SO ADORABLE AND LOVING! Then he makes the scripted television joke and that’s all Jensen seems to need to be suddenly back to his suave self again.
Its just.. I suppose what I want to say is Misha knows and loves Jensen so much. He knows that Jensen gets jittery sometimes, that he fumbles with his words and he does these little things that make him feel better without drawing attention to the flaws.
I love these two and their relationship. It’s wonderful :D
There is something I just don't get out of my head and I thought you might be the right person to ask this. So if Cockles was real, wouldn't Jensen be more supportive of Destiel? Don't get me wrong I totally ship Cockles but this just doesn't make sense to me.
from what I understand about people, if they’re trying to hide something then they’ll often try and distance themselves from anything that might lead other people to think about that thing.
for example, if Jensen was trying to maintain that, no, he absolutely is not crushing on Misha with the intensity of a thousand black ‘67 Chevy Impalas tearing up a dusty backstreet in Cockles Hell, he might theoretically say things that make it look like he doesn’t like Misha at all. or imply that he doesn’t like being close to Misha (when that’s clearly not true).
basically Jensen is one of those people who says “no” with their mouth while their whole body and their acting on camera both actually say “hell fucking yes”.
when people do that, I believe it’s customary to quote the phrase “the lady doth protest too much”. meaning, in essence, everything Jensen says is bullshit, he’s got it bad for Misha, Destiel is real, and you should ship Destiel and Cockles as hard as you fucking like.
I was thinking about the fact that Jensen and Misha shot all the YANA videos in 10 minutes and this probably means that the sweatshirt Misha wore in the kitchen video was Jensen’s
jensen giving misha a valentine without knowing he’s being filmed is honestly the best valentine anyone could give me
nO BUT MISHA TRIED SO MANY TIMES TO FILM AND UPLOAD THE VIDEO. there’s 3 incomplete versions on his facebook account before the final one [1/2/3/4] and none of them got as far as the table before his internet connection cut out. obviously it was a staged video but I DON’T THINK JENSEN REALISED IT WAS THE REAL ONE WHEN MISHA ACTUALLY MANAGED TO FILM IT. that’s why Jensen asked if Misha was filming after he handed over the card. he must’ve known Misha was having connectivity problems and didn’t realise Misha was filming instead of livestreaming and that the whole internet was going to see that genuine expression of affection.
either that, or like @the-rising-demonmistress-of-styx said in this meta here, Jensen knew perfectly well he was being filmed and consciously decided to give Misha a pink, cute, glittery and heartfelt valentine card on camera for the whole internet to see.
those are the only two options. one is the truth. we may never know which. but both are sickening and awful.

It’s hilariously adorable how all of Jensen’s nicknames for Misha are cute, affectionate ones like mish and angel friend, while Misha’s nicknames for Jensen are things like tough guy or geezer. lmao
and that would be the result of Jensen spewing dewy-eyed affection and Misha subsequently reaffirming Jensen’s fragile masculinity. they are yin and yang, let me tell you that.
