WELL. I find this amusing.
first off, let’s establish that the Darkness = Amara. how and why is this? the sexy lady in the smoke cloud is the Darkness. she has the mark of Cain on her chest. Mike’s baby is Amara. those were Mike’s dying words, he said “her name is Amara”, or something like that, and then we get a view of the baby. THEN, the last scene of the episode, Jenna is changing Amara’s diaper and it’s revealed the baby has a tiny wee mark of Cain on her chest.
so the Darkness = Amara = a sexy lady AND a baby. at the same time.
the reason I’m so far viewing Amara and Dean as a daughter-father relationship is because a) “we’re bonded” / implications of family/self-mirror, b) she’s a fucking baby and I am not about to go all Twilight on Dean and say his love interest is a baby.
(all this aside, I find this discussion really weird because my younger sister is named Amara. I myself honestly don’t know if she sees herself more of a daughter or a love interest to Dean. I’ll have to ask her sometime.)
so Dean and sexy lady!Amara have had one scene together. it was a tense, dramatic scene. it could easily be seen as romantic/sexual. yes, remember thinking “oh no, I hope they don’t kiss, please don’t kiss”, because it did have that sexual tension kind of vibe to it, and I hate heterosexual tension that comes out of nowhere for no reason. but I noticed that Dean’s eyes stayed on Amara’s eyes, not dropping to her lips (they went as far as her nose and then back up). Dean doesn’t trust her, and he’s convinced she’s evil, even though she hasn’t actually done anything evil yet. well, aside from infect some people, maybe by mistake.
but what convinces me that she’s not a love interest is the singular fact that she’s the baby. like, that’s my reason. Dean offers to care for the baby because he wants a goddamn baby to look after. as I see it, she’s a daughter figure.
