I'm reading Snow Place Like Home and I'm dying of cuteness, but I did feel like I should let you know just for future reference that while the crackers and hats scene is beautiful bonding that I love, we don't do crackers or paper hats at Christmas in America. We only know what christmas crackers even are bc of Harry Potter. I have never seen one irl. I used to think they were a food item (bc yknow 'crackers').

Good thing there’s plenty of mentions of Harry Potter in Snow Place, then, eh? One of my betas did warn me about party crackers or Christmas crackers just being a British thing, and up until that point I had no idea. But I left it - partially because I didn’t want to re-write, and also because in my lazy-ass writerly opinion it was totally excusable. Everyone in that room (save perhaps Cas) had read Harry Potter. Maybe there’s a remote possibility that Sam or Charlie ordered a bunch of crackers online, leaving some at the bunker and putting some in the trunk of the Impala. Who even knows.
Also, blasphemy aside, GOD BLESS YOUR GLOOPY FEELINGS.
