astramaxima:

The most dramatic thing happened to me today.

I was on a field trip early this morning at a very nice park with about 13 kiddos under my supervision, and two of them insisted on climbing this wickedly tall stone structure and they aren’t very coordinated so I told them to be extra careful. Suddenly, from far off in the distance I hear a “oh I frequent this park often, I’ve seen smaller children climb and come down unscathed!” It took me a second to realize that this was directed at me and after another second of looking around I spot this young woman kinda just… sitting amidst a bunch of very tall wildflowers? She looked like she Did Not Belong There.

Let me tell you.

First off, I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a beautiful being face to face. Her hair glowed in the sunlight and her freckles were just so captivating I kind of stared until I realized she was attempting to have a conversation with me. Me, who was standing there barefoot, with my jeans awkwardly rolled up, my hair an absolute disaster, and my camp shirt utterly covered in dirt. I laughed awkwardly. She then says “you just have to believe they’ll be alright, there’s only so much we grown-ups can do”. After she says this she looks down at the notebook she’s holding on her lap, holds it up to me and asks “do you like fairies?” She was drawing these fantastical landscapes that left me speechless. There were an array of fairies drawn in pencil along the margins.

This is when my co-teacher calls me away to check up on the kids that were getting too close to the river. I do so, but I look over my shoulder to catch a glimpse of the woman and she’s just gone. I completely write off in favor of chasing my students with water guns for about an hour. It’s when we’re about to leave that someone taps me on the shoulder, and it’s her, and she says “i hope to meet you again someday!”

And that’s the story of how I’m at least 75% certain I made contact with a genuine supernatural being.

Negl, fell a tad bit in love there.
