I asked Jensen at his autos about how they came up with the idea for the yana videos and his face lit up when he was talking about misha and he started talking about how him and misha came together to get the idea for the campaign and how it was Misha’s idea and he thought it was good and so they started the campaign together I was like no I mean for the videos and he was like oh the videos, it was Misha’s idea and I just went with it.
Seems like Misha having ideas and Jensen just going along with it is something that happens often.
I may have watched the YANA videos a hundred a dozen times now, and I noticed that there are so many glaring differences between the scripted stuff and what was clearly ad-libbing. It’s harder to tell with Misha as he is more sure of himself, but Jensen gives it away easy.
In the first YANA video for example
Here, Jensen is pretty confident. He knows what he needs to say and do and is super smooth and charming. Soon after though Misha makes the cross-streaming joke and..
SHOULDER BOOP!
From here on, you can see Jensen being adorkable and awkward (I mean he talks about the weather so randomly? Why?) Even Misha seems taken aback for half a second before he recovers and brings the conversation back to topic.
Misha has a gift of making people comfortable and Jensen looks relieved at coming back to the point. And then he turns super awkward and cute again when left alone until Misha comes back to rescue him :)
The next few YANA videos are all scripted so Jensen’s back to being smooth and savvy. Then came my favorite! The NashCon YANA Video.
I love this entire thing so much! It’s obviously unscripted as Jensen’s umming so much and Misha’s doing all the talking and also- Jensen is touchy feely, clinging to Misha for an unusually long time. Misha seems aware of this and he’s so sweetly supportive and it becomes glaringly obvious towards the end where he keeps turning his head to look at Jensen-
I mean, the phone is in SELFIE MODE. He can see Jensen’s reactions (if that’s what he needed to see) ON THE PHONE. But he doesn’t, because he knows Jensen feels reassured when he looks at him. Jensen goes for another shoulder boop..
and that fond little head tilt is JUST SO ADORABLE AND LOVING! Then he makes the scripted television joke and that’s all Jensen seems to need to be suddenly back to his suave self again.
Its just.. I suppose what I want to say is Misha knows and loves Jensen so much. He knows that Jensen gets jittery sometimes, that he fumbles with his words and he does these little things that make him feel better without drawing attention to the flaws.
I love these two and their relationship. It’s wonderful :D
I was thinking about the fact that Jensen and Misha shot all the YANA videos in 10 minutes and this probably means that the sweatshirt Misha wore in the kitchen video was Jensen’s
