I witnessed the cockles boop in gif form just now for the first time. Made a whining noise and collapsed in front of the fam. You should have seen their faces.
I made wookie noises when I saw it. I’m so sorry your family had to witness that, there’s no dignity in it. BUT I KNOW THAT FEEL, ANON. I KNOW IT ALL TOO WELL.
Yeah, but it’s not exactly the first time Misha’s referenced kinky pee sex. I wouldn’t put it past him.
Thing is, the Ghostbusters phrase about Crossing Streams was very quickly turned into the “dick-sword-fight-in-the-bathroom” thing. The movie was in the 80’s. I’m willing to bet it turned into a reference for gay sex possibly that SAME WEEKEND… unless the gay version came first and the Ghostbusters writers (check it, they also acted in it), KNEW about it and cleverly disguised it…
but that would take BALLS. Especially in 1984.
But then, these guys were famous for their adult-humour sketches. I wouldn’t put it past them….
When I was growing up (and I’m in the same generation as Jensen and Misha) this was simply a joke about guys goofing off while peeing. If someone had to clean a filthy mens room they’d comment that guys had to be crossing streams to get pee in so many places. I’ve known dudebros who said that if someone stood at the urinal next to them they’d joke about crossing streams just to see the other guy roll his eyes. There were even stories about guys who would set a small item in the bottom of the urinal then cross streams as part of a contest to see who could knock it down. For most of my life crossing streams has been part of dudebro culture, it didn’t get dubbed as “looks gay” until recently.
you know, I’m starting to think Misha calls Jensen things like “tough guy” in order to subtly reaffirm Jensen’s masculinity so Jensen doesn’t have to. either that, or because he’s teasing Jensen for being the exact opposite (i.e. Jensen is an affectionate butterfly flower who just came out of the makeup trailer). somehow I actually think it’s both?? reassurance via teasing??? it’s an art and Misha appears to have perfected it. it’s things like “he’s the man” and “what’s up, tough guy” that make me think, yeah, he’s got the bro dude macho thing down. SUPPORTIVE BOYFRIEND IN ALL SENSES OF THE WORD.
I haven't seen ghostbusters in like 15 years. Jensen wouldn't have reacted that way if it was just a movie ref.
Anonymous said: Lol the first thing my mind went to was the pee reference too. This was when misha tweeted about it about half an hour before the live stream even started. I’m like 99% sure misha meant it as such.
now having watched the video, my interpretation is that Misha used the phrase “crossing streams” as a pee reference, Jensen understood the reference, but when someone in the chat said “ghostbusters?” he said yes because that was how he originally understood it too, before Misha tainted his nostalgic memories of a classic movie with kinky gayness
