Man, I want a banana knife!
When I have a slash pairing that I ship, there’s often a certain set for the type of character:
1) The flashy, brash one that leaps without looking, the loud one, the one that would probably start the arguments;
2) The quiet, sweet, calculating one, who thinks before acting, who issues the calming words and brings the other to their senses. Would support the other through thick and thin (even the sudden but inevitable betrayal).
For example:
- (1) Dean and (2) Castiel.
- (1) Crowley and (2) Aziraphale.
- (1) Arthur and (2) Merlin.
- (1) Sherlock and (2) John. Kind of.
- (1) Erik and (2) Charles.
- (3) Peter Burke and Neal Caffrey blur the line a little, but between them they have all of these characteristics…
Of course, there are others. But, just saying. I find it fascinating.
