Whatever you do, do not think about a DeanCas Thelma and Louise!AU, where Dean is the outgoing best friend of a shy, submissive Castiel.
- DO NOT think of how a nineteen year-old Dean convinces Cas to leave his abusive father for a long weekend: “C’mon, Benny has a cabin and his parents are gone. He said we could chill there for a while.”
- DO NOT think of Cas leaving, even when his father threatens him and tells him not to.
- DO NOT think of Cas almost getting raped when he drinks too much at the first bar they stop at, getting drawn in by pretty eyes and a charming smile only to find himself drunk and getting unwillingly felt up in the parking lot.
- DO NOT think about Dean–small town waiter Dean Winchester–shooting the fucker right between the eyes with his daddy’s stolen gun, shaking and asking if Cas is all right.
- DO NOT think of Dean convincing Cas that they can’t go the police: “Because who the fuck is gonna believe a guy tried to rape you, Cas? Guys don’t fuckin’ rape guys, not in the eyes of the law.”
- DO NOT think of them deciding to flee to Mexico.
- DO NOT think of Meg hitching a ride with them to San Jose and taking a shining to Cas, telling him all about how she robbed a bank.
- DO NOT think about Dean freaking out about money, and Cas robbing a gas station to fix that problem, mimicking Meg’s behaviour to a ‘T’.
- DO NOT think of the two them becoming major badasses and ending up on the FBI’s ‘Wanted’ list.
- DO NOT think of Cas in a leather jacket with aviators, telling a trucker to fuck off as he points a gun at him for making a lude remark regarding Dean’s mouth. Do not think of Dean in a cowboy hat as he points his own gun in the trucker’s direction, sunglasses resting on the rim.
- And most of all, DO NOT think of them making it to Mexico; calling Sam on a payphone as soon as they cross the border before driving right to the sea. DO NOT think of the two looking at each other from their respective seats in the Impala before launching themselves towards the water, Cas tackling Dean as the other boy wraps his arms around them. Don’t think of them kissing and laughing and kissing some more. Just don’t.
