Bless you, and bless your tags on that Cockles audio post. I would both like to flip a table, and cup Jensen's face, look him in the eye, and say "Darlin', we know, it's okay. But you're about as smooth as gravel at hiding your Misha-related thoughts and reactions."
Jensen can’t hide anything from the cameras. When he’s on set, he gets a second take, a second chance to display only what he means to display (and it works some of the time), and he gets a say in what the editors keep and take away from what they caught on film. But not on stage, not when it’s all happening too fast to keep under his control. Misha takes Jensen away from that persona of his, the guy he tries so hard to be, the guy he wants his father to see, and the result of Misha’s influential presence is that Jensen just becomes more like himself. I’m just guessing here (call it an informed guess, maybe) but it must feel like such a relief for him, to finally just laugh at the things he wants to laugh at, and not constantly have to think about how to control himself and how to school his expressions and his postures so nobody sees the part of Jensen that he thinks is shameful. He’s acting all the freaking time. It’s gotta be exhausting. Misha makes Jensen lose what he doesn’t want to lose - at least not in front of an audience - which in all likelihood makes him uncomfortable and vulnerable - and oh, hey, look:
Conclusion: Misha puts a weak spot in Jensen’s heterosexual manly-man armour, and that weak spot is being PRODDED, STROKED and LICKED ON OCCASION.
Also, bless those people with cameras pointed at Misha and Jensen. May your batteries never die and your memory cards always have enough space to record the majestic trainwreck of Jensen’s put-upon exterior.
ANON PART 3 Actually you can just call me deanon ;) Thank you so much for that post, it was really enlightening! It finally makes sense. If it's not too much trouble, how are you certain that Jensen's ISFJ?
I’ll go through what I did with Dean with Jensen also. It’ll be more difficult finding evidence, however, because unlike with Dean, Jensen is aware he’s being observed. People tend to behave differently when observed.
Quiet, kind, and conscientious. Can be depended on to follow through. Usually puts the needs of others above their own needs. Stable and practical, they value security and traditions. Well-developed sense of space and function. Rich inner world of observations about people. Extremely perceptive of other’s feelings. Interested in serving others.
(1/2) I just wanted to comment and add a little bit from your post-thing on jensen having to hide his little crush on misha- Basically, i just want to be like "dear god, jensen, i understand." Its really so hard acting right around someone you have a thing for, especially when you feel you have to be someone you're not. And god, do i know. Being in love with another girl? When youre still coming to terms with your sexuality? When you dont want to admit it?
(2/2) but i do know i love her. And i hate to admit it. Its so difficult. After a while, it gets harder and harder to hide the looks you want to give and how you want to touch her. I really cant help it that she makes me feel tougher and less feminine, like i want to protect her with all ive got, and weaker at the same time. I dont know if its like that for jensen, but when i see the pictures and gifs of how he looks at misha, i understand.
humans are such complex creatures, aren’t they, anon? all those feelings. I hope you find the best way to express yourself to your lady love, if you haven’t already. and I’m sure if Jensen knew about your predicament, he would relate - even if he’d never admit it. <3

Funny how when Jensen’s asked to pose for the cameras for certain individuals and he gets into a compromising position with Misha he frowns and acts all tough.
But when he’s all unguarded, he’s not hesitating a second before engaging in an even more compromising interaction with his Mish without giving it a thought and he’s all smiles and on a cloud 9…nothing can stop him then
Can we talk about how Misha wrote mock!Jensen as this sweet little hippie princess who overcompensates in front of people because he’s not the very definition of a manly man that he thinks society expects him to be and how this is the best form of satire in that it draws from real life and parodies it in a way that is so completely brilliant I can’t even fully wrap my head around it right now.
That’s kind of a loaded question. Because I never do anything easily, let’s deconstruct it a bit using facts and science.
Please forgive me, it’s been a while since my psych days, so I might have some of the process wrong. Let’s make some hypotheses and then find evidence of them.
Alternate hypothesis #1:
Jensen and Misha identify as some semblance of non-heterosexuality.
Alternate hypothesis #2:
Jensen and Misha are attracted to one another.
Alternate hypothesis #3:
Jensen and Misha are in a relationship.
It’s not just enough to show evidence of these things, though. We have to also show evidence that the way they treat each other is decidedly different than they treat other people with whom they are platonic, and that their behavior toward one another more closely resembles that toward their public romantic partners. We need to find evidence to reject the following.
Null hypothesis:
Jensen and Misha treat each other no differently than other people with whom they have platonic relationships.
Evidence for the above under the cut (with gifs!).
Then look at Jensen’s face: he goes from calmly joking to wide-eyed, “ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?”
Then in the last gif, Jared is pointedly avoiding him, and Jensen is wringing his hands around a chair and looking down and awkward and like he’s trying to keep himself together.
We all know Jared sucks at staying tactful and he always blurts out whatever is on his fucking mind.
For someone who has been outed before, to me, this is pretty textbook, “Bro did you just fucking OUT ME??”
(tbh, I think Jensen is scared of destiel bc he’s afraid his boner for misha will show. More than usual, that is.)
To be honest I think it’s because of his father and the way he was raised. Jensen has mentioned a lot of times how much effect his father has had on him and that’s why he overcompensating with his “look how manly I am”. There are interesting bits from his meet and greet about his father. Also, do you remember his famous “My father told me there is no manly way to drink this with a straw” about the drink he was holding (can’t remember exactly which con it was) but it’s there.
the thing about straws came up at NJcon, and there’s a gifset here. (no video link though)
