I think it’s great how so many Wincest shippers (so many, not all - there are a lot of amazing ones out there who don’t behave this way - but, c’mon, it’s no secret that it comes from this end more than any other) openly attack other ships and characters like this and this and this and this and this and this and this (”But the truth is, there simply is no other spn ship that is so obsessed with proving that their ship is better than everyone else’s.” - which is laughable considering - following that, an example of her “turning a Destiel moment into a Wincest moment” and then posts about how Dean would never be with anyone but his brother anyway, etc - mmm, love the smell of hypocrisy), and then there was the time deanhasherpes said she was going to be a Destiel shipper for Halloween and made mock-Destiel graphics all day, and this and this and this, and all these posts were found in a 10 minute search or so. I have never seen this type of behavior from other shippers in the fandom, ever, and blatant trolls like KristyHobbs or whatever do not count.
It’s seriously baffling how it’s perfectly okay to constantly hate and insult people for liking Castiel, and yet the second anyone says one negative thing about Sam (which I’ve never seen) or Dean you guys are practically pissing yourselves with anger.
The point is, stop. Please stop harassing your fellow fans just because you don’t like something. Please stop being such a shitty representation of the Wincest fandom and giving the ship itself such a bad name because you feel oddly threatened by other characters and pairings. We’re not all like this and it really sucks that so many think we are because you guys are incapable of accepting the fact that some people care about more characters than Sam and Dean, some people interpret the show differently than you, blah, blah. Having different opinions isn’t the end of the world and certainly doesn’t make anyone a bad fan, but going out of your way to make other fans feel bad for what they like does. The hypocrisy and double standard here is getting really out of hand and just. I don’t really understand the point all of the hate? No matter how many insults you throw at people, no matter how many times you claim other shippers are “delusional”, they’re still going to ship what they ship and you’re only going to look like even more of a threatened asshole. Ship variety is part of the fun of fandom and you guys are ruining it for anybody who doesn’t have their head shoved up the same breed of ass. It’s fiction. It’s supposed to be for fun. When you spend more time downing others and obsessing over things you dislike than enjoying the things you do, something is wrong.
