i’m sorry but are you fucking serious? his face? looking at dean right now? really? REALLY????
this is the single gayest thing this show has done
let’s take gif one
where we have cas lightly stroking his beer bottle as he smiles and looks at Dean through his lashes (keep in mind he is supposed to be drunk)
then we have gif two
where he winks at Dean and Dean looks away from him and looks down.
and onto gif three
where Cas clinks their bottles together and smiles
Like Dean is 100% like “omg Cas you’re so drunk and Sam is here this is so embarrassing” because Cas is a flirty drunk and he is flirting with Dean

Castiel | ”Holy Terror”
I don’t have the gifs of that scene yet so it’s gonna be harder to explain, but I’ll try.but what do you think about what they said about April? It’s simple: THEY SAID NOTHING ABOUT APRIL. SERIOUSLY. REWATCH THE SCENE. APRIL IS SO NOT EVEN REMOTELY WHAT THEY’RE TALKING ABOUT.Cas is talking about Bart. Then he makes a point of looking straight at Dean before mentioning April. He makes a pause, looks at Dean, then mentions April. Yanno, for emphasis. From this point on the camera only stays focused on Cas and Dean, leaving Sam out. Sam could not be there and it wouldn’t make a difference, we are only observing Cas and Dean’s interacions and reactions to what the other says.Dean looks at Cas and makes a point of saying “the one you banged”.Cas looks at Dean and makes a point of finishing his sentence with a “yeah, and you stabbed”. Cas lifts his face upwards mantaining his eyes on Dean after this: that’s a challenge, he’s waiting to see how Dean reacts to what he said. Dean rolls his eyes and looks away, unable to mantain eye contact. In reality, Dean stabbing April had nothing to do with the fact Cas had sex with her and moreover, Dean stabbed her to save Cas, so he shouldn’t feel guilty about it at all, but here Cas deliberately linked the two things (him “banging her” and Dean killing her) and Dean felt the accusation. Yet, Dean makes sure their eyes are once again locked to get the message across before he says “yeah”. THIS IS FLIRTING. They’re not talking about April. They know what they’re talking about, subconsciously or not, and they are playing. Seriously, body language. This is a very deliberate, very erotic game.
The conversation goes on and Dean keeps playing: Dean only saw “April” when he came in to rescue Cas and at that point, he was infuriated with her, was only thinking about killing her, and considered her a bad guy, meaning he didn’t take the time to check her out and wasn’t in the condition of judging if she was sexy or not. AND YET, he unconvincingly tells Cas that “she was hot”, looking straight at him but (AGAIN!) with his face lifted upwards, waiting for a reaction from Cas. He didn’t even notice she was hot, but he says that to Cas and his body language indicates he’s waiting to see how Cas reacts.Cas looks at his right (visual remembered in body language) for a second (indicating that for an instant he remembered her looks), but then as he goes on to confirm that she was “so hot”, he’s looking up, which is a sight of boredom, exasperation and sarcasm. He’s not being completely genuine in his reaction. He knows he’s bullshitting. Dean is still listening attentively.
Then Cas finally looks at his left (visual constructed) and, sincerely, says: “And very nice.”And then a very funny thing happens. Dean looks away and “hmms” in agreement with a nondescipt smile. His microexpressions indicate he’s let down/not satisfied with the interaction (I’ll do this with pics when I have time later maybe), but he acts as if he knew April personally and could confirm that “she was nice”. The bullshit here is up to eleven. Dean CANNOT AGREE that April is nice. He only saw an evil reaper and didn’t know April before.
That’s heavy bullshit and noone at that table at this point is pretending it isn’t. The moment Dean acts like he and Cas are two friends talking about a thrid absent friend (“She’s so nice” / “Yeah, yeah, she is”) it’s obvious they are bullshitting. Dean senses it. In fact…AT THIS POINT Dean swallows, then swiftly regains focus to look at Sam and check out Sam’s reaction. That’s the only moment when the camera lets us see Sam. And we find out Sam is very amused by this whole exchange (he makes this sort of silent snort and looks from Dean to Cas).
Then Cas remembers she was nice until she “started torturing him”, and this is the only moment when he’s serious: he pauses, gets caught up in the memory, looking into the distance, and doesn’t make eye contact with Dean. This is the only moment when he’s actually talking about what happened and not playing with Dean.
Dean also stops for a second, looks down, but then he resumes, telling Cas that “not every hookup is perfect”. He looks straight at him again, lips parted, gives him a slightly condescending pat on the shoulder (just as he effectively resumes the interaction) and then keeps his eyes locked with Cas while giving him the flirtiest smirk.
I picked up on this immediately the first time I saw the scene because I have an intuitive understanding of body language, but seriously, if you think they weren’t deliberately flirting, rewatch it, because really I was embarassed by how shameless they were being.
I still can’t believe they directed and played that scene like that. I just… ok. Ok.
Cas is a flirty drunk
DON’T TALK TO ME ABOUT THIS SCENE
*FLIPS SOMEONE*
I CAN’T TAKE THIS LEVEL OF KAWAII WHILE I’M SOBER
This is what happens during Dean and Castiel’s conversation.
