goddamnit he’s cute

gachichubbs:

sometimes love is talking in a whisper. (x)

tapdatassbutt:

ugh i really just want a destiel hs!au

where cas is a popular athlete of some sort and dean is the bad-boy asshole and they can’t fucking stand each other

and dean sasses the teachers and cas always sasses dean for sassing the teachers and it turns into a whole huge thing and they talk big talk but neither one would ever really hurt the other because while they loathe each other they’re also mesmerized by each other

and so one day dean says something a little too snarky to the wrong guy and then he’s getting beaten up by the guy and his two buddies but cas who is walking by pries them off of dean and convinces them to leave him alone and cas tries to inspect the damage and dean is just laughing flippantly and trying to hit on cas but cas just rolls his eyes and helps him up and its the beginning of an unconventional friendship

and nobody really understands them because all they do is bitch at each other but if people just looked a little closer they would notice that cas and dean could read one another better than any of their other friends could

how sometimes when dean doesn’t retort cas’s brow furrows like something is wrong and (if they’re sitting close enough together) he’ll run his fingers over dean’s wrist beneath the table like he’s asking if dean is okay and dean will latch on to them and run his thumb over cas’s knuckles and glance at him with an expression a little too soft for dean winchester

how sometimes when cas walks into class his shoulders are stiff and he looks like he’s trying to cover up some distress and from halfway across the room dean’s eyes will narrow

and if you follow them after third period on days like this then you just might catch them sneaking out to the space between the tool shed and the side of the building where they hesitate only briefly before dean grabs a hold of cas’s letterman and shoves him up against the rough bricks and gives him easy, subdued, open mouthed kisses that are a sharp contrast to the harsh way dean handles him and the tension in cas’s shoulders eases when dean makes his way down to his neck

im just so upset with these assholes no matter what universe they’re in

For @dragonbradbury

If Dean had to choose, getting caught making out with Cas in the janitor’s closet by Jody Mills was probably the best he could hope for.

Nobody else would’ve been as chill—Ms. Rosen probably would’ve told the whole damn school, what with her big mouth, Henriksen would have straight up given them detention—and Crowley would’ve probably kicked their asses right then and there. So, considering, Dean guesses he’s pretty lucky.

“Alright,” she says, jerking a thumb over her shoulder. “Out.”

Cas throws Dean a sheepish look, then quickly disentangles himself from Dean’s arms, both of them clambering out of the cramped closet and spilling out into the hall in an altogether ungraceful way. Dean clears his throat, wiping his mouth with one hand, trying to comb his hair back into place with the other. Mrs. Mills crosses her arms.

“You boys’re supposed to be in class, am I correct?”

Cas twists his fingers together, looking down at his scuffed sneakers.

“Yes,” he says meekly. Despite the complete awkwardness of the situation, Dean scoffs and rolls his eyes. Since when is Cas such a blushing rule-follower—

He gets an elbow to the side, and Dean hunches over, letting out a soft oof.

He looks up. Both Castiel and Mills are staring at him, her with an eyebrow raised, Cas with a pointed look. Dean nods hastily.

“Uh, yeah. Yeah.”

He throws Cas a sharp glare.

“We got—”

He swallows.

“Distracted,” he finishes lamely.

Jody looks between the two of them.

“I can see that.”

Dean feels Cas shift his weight, knocking him slightly with his shoulder, and Dean can’t help a little grin. Yes, okay, Jody is a teacher—but she’s a friggin’ substitute—and her power over the two of them is basically next to nothing. They’ll get a slap on the wrist, a scolding probably, a warning not to do it again; and then everything will go back to normal. And inevitably, next week Dean and Cas will be in the janitor’s closet again, yanking at each other’s clothes and trying to shush any groan that gets too loud.

“We’ll just be on our way,” Cas says calmly, grabbing Dean’s arm. He smirks at him as they turn their back to her, heading off back to class.

“Hold it!”

Dean pauses. Beside him, he sees Cas freeze too.

Hm. This is unexpected.

He turns, putting on his most charming smile.

“What’s up, teach?”

Mrs. Mills shakes her head.

“Uh uh. Don’t think you’re getting away with this little stunt. You’re going to the principal’s office.”

Dean’s grin slides off his face.

“Oh, no,” he whispers. “Please no.”

There’s no way. She couldn’t send them to the principal’s office—Dean would take literally any other punishment.

“Mrs. Mills—”

“C’mon,” she says. “Let’s move it.”

She puts a hand on Cas’s shoulder and steers him down the hall, and Dean has no choice but to follow. Seriously, she can’t know how absolutely terrible of an idea this is—but there’s an irritatingly smug look on Mrs. Mills’ face that tells Dean she knows exactly what’s she’s doing. Dean considers running.

Then he remembers Mills is also a retired sheriff, and she’d probably chase him down and tackle him before he even gets around the corner. Dean swallows.

Dean quickly realizing that the joke’s not so funny anymore when you can’t stop smiling at your best friend and your eyes aren’t leaving his

Cas leading Dean outside to the garden without saying a word, Dean’s heart beating wildly in his chest because he’s realizing a lot of things in a very short amount of time

Dean stammering and blushing and sweating in his tux as he follows Cas to a stone bench

Cas spinning around and kissing him because, really, how could their prom night have gone any other way

Dean and Cas slow dancing in the garden with their foreheads pressed together, stealing kisses and pulling each other close until the tension is too much and they’re running, ties askew, to the Impala to steam up some windows (♥‿♥✿)

I just…one thing that AU fics frequently get wrong is they’re like “wild child rebel Dean Winchester teaches uptight straightlaced rule following Castiel a thing or two about how to have fun”

When in canon Dean is more the rule follower (Daddy’s blunt little instrument, the good soldier) and Cas is the rebel (with a crack in his chassis, the angel that heaven couldn’t ever reprogram to follow the rules)

So give me Dean, with his rough edges and rougher life trying his damnedest to please authority figures. Give me Castiel, who even the strictest family couldn’t tame, who breaks the rules just because it’s Tuesday. Give me these two opposites teaching each other to live for themselves, instead of making their decisions based what others do or don’t want.

Anonymous asked: i wasn’t gay but then i kissed you in front of some homophobes to piss them off and now im kinda gay au uwu
Author’s note: I got this one in my inbox this morning, and I was kinda thinking about it at work, and then I sort of just, yeah…

“Yo, Winchester! You’re seriously still hanging out with Novak? What if he rubs off on you? You could end up being just like him, and your spot on the football team won’t be enough to save your popularity.”

Dean was gritting his teeth, both hands gripping the armrests of his seat, knuckles turning white. Next to him, his best friend Castiel was slowly shaking his head in silent warning.

It was supposed to be a fun night out, just him and Cas at the movies like friends did on Friday nights. So what were the odds that Alastair and his obnoxious group of minions happened to be sitting two rows behind them at the cinema, throwing insults at Cas every five seconds.

“I’m not gonna take this any longer, he’s been doing this for months now.” Dean hissed under his breath, swiftly approaching a breaking point. “We’re seventeen, not seven! It’s about time they start acting like adults.”

“Please don’t, Dean.” Castiel all but begged, putting a hand on Dean’s shoulder. “They’re never going to stop anyway, and do I need to remind you that there’s five of them and two of us? You’re going to get hurt if you go over there. Or worse, they’ll get back at you Monday at school when they catch you alone.”

A whistle from behind them.

“Oooh, look at that, the boyfriends are touching.” That was unmistakably Gordon’s voice, Alastair’s most lethal partner in crime.

Dean’s blood was boiling. This had happened too many times already… Ever since Castiel had come out six months ago, he’d been pestered by these homophobic asshats for no reason, and Dean was more than done with it. The code that Dean Winchester lived by was a simple code: One; don’t touch my little brother. Two; don’t hurt my best friend. The fact that Cas always claimed that it was ‘fine’ and that he’d learned to ignore it, wasn’t good enough for Dean. Someone like Cas deserved to have a carefree life without having to deal with this unnecessary bullshit.
