What do you think where Jensen’s thoughts were?
[video by

I would like to see a thorough analyse of everything going on in these gifs by @almaasi
what is there to say? he finds misha attractive so he checks him out when he thinks both misha and the audience are too distracted to notice, that’s not new c:
misha’s wearing jensen’s shirt here, and jensen is INTO THAT. (see below)
at this point in the video (~4 minutes in) misha just sniFFED HIS KNEE ‘cause jensen touched him there
and then jensen turns to him like “how you doing, bud?” just to ease into a conversation, except misha has something READY TO GO: and so begins the topic of misha borrowing jensen’s clothes.
jensen was already biting his lips (both top & bottom, in a nervous way, not a sexy way) by the time misha mentions clothes – BUT, there’s this very brief flicker on jensen’s forehead of “oh god what is he about to say right now??” as misha says “this morning… jensen was like–”
but then he relaxes a bit in that final gif, when he realises misha’s just talking about jensen donating all his old con clothes.
like “oh he’s not talking about the thing i thought he was gonna talk about”
the fact they KEEP talking about this so casually and openly, though… (i’ve missed a few cons but i’m pretty sure this is the second time misha’s mentioned it). the openness is kind of a dead giveaway, because you know that thing jensen does when they’re ACTUALLY talking about something personal between him and misha?? how he goes all tense and smiles at his thighs and rubs the back of his head?? or just stares at misha with hearteyes and a huge smile? yeah that’s not happening
this is a safe, easy topic, in the “friend” realm, and yet it involves clothes sharing, which is an inherently intimate thing to do (fight me, it is)
they undoubtedly decided privately before it ever came up in public: they can talk about this “jensen gave misha all his old con photo clothes” stuff, because it’s the obvious thing that people see at cons, and it’s been going on so long that it kinda needs addressing. and it’s not something they ever considered an intimate part of their relationship. literally, face value: jensen had clothes he was never gonna wear again, so he gave them to misha, end of story.
HOWEVER, this time, mentioned in this video, jensen wanted to misha to wear one of his shirts (why??? WHY???), but it wasn’t until misha spilled salad dressing on his own shirt that he begrudgingly accepted.
misha is actively and aggressively trying to AVOID the “i borrow jensen’s clothes” thing, jensen literally doesn’t give a shit and wants to give misha his clothes anyway and have him wear them in public??? on purpose???
this is after they already told everyone why misha has hand-me-downs. so perhaps jensen assumes people would graciously understand, and he could get away with dressing misha up the way he wants to.
don’t even tell me that’s not what he’s doing. he likes it.
but the point is, this wasn’t intimate act to them (even though it is, actually, an intimate act; they’ve normalised it to themselves by doing it so often) – and jensen totally thought misha was gonna say something way more damning here.
is that what you meant, @pentrollskijn? ;;ouo
I love when there is new meta by my favs!!! It’s like finding money on the ground and being like “oh! today is good after all!”. 😁😁😁
I don’t have much to add but I probably will anyway b/c I can’t help myself with these two. I’m struck again by how this is just one of an almost infinite number of possessive interactions that Jensen initiates with Misha. Like, seriously, he is always doing things to claim Misha, whether it’s little touches (shoulder, arm, neck, knee, thigh), ass-slapping (we know we’ve seen that), verbal gestures (remember how Richard Speight once said no one else calls him “Mish” and they tease Jensen for it?), grooming (fix his collar, fix his hair), or dressing him in his clothes. They are all such evident symbols that say “this is my Misha.”
That’s why Jensen isn’t at all worried or embarrassed about the clothes sharing being public. He likes it. He gives zero fucks. He already wants to announce constantly that Misha belongs to him and this is just one more way. (And, my God, Misha just accept his gifts! If it makes him happy to know you’re wearing something he bought you and none of us will ever know what’s the harm?!) Whereas Misha is self-conscious about the clothes–and about all these things probably–because, although on the surface they are all arguably just friendly, they are signals of a deeper intimacy. It’s too close to something that’s real and not for the public eye. And ultimately, I think, Misha is an even more intensely private person than Jensen (though both are introverts and private). We know a lot about Misha Collins, but very little about Dmitri Krushnic and he wants to ensure that it stays that way. And Jensen is a part of that life and that self.
I’ve already written humorously (on my “clothes sharing” tag) about how Misha is kind of a mess on this topic (this was actually the third time he brought it up onstage) but there’s a serious side to it too and it’s very interesting to me how much Misha seems to care vs. how little Jensen seems to care. If I were to take it even further into the realm of wild speculation, I’d say something about how it shows Misha being vulnerable and “small” in a way that his con persona doesn’t usually allow for; it reveals that Jensen takes care of him and that he lets him and he likes it. Jensen is happy for that to be hinted at because, well, he likes being a caretaker and protector. It’s a huge part of who he is. And I’m not saying Misha never takes care of Jensen…he definitely does. Just look at how he puts him at ease allows him to relax into being himself. But it’s not the same kind of protective-possessiveness (because Misha’s not really a very possessive guy, imo, though he’s fiercely loyal and loving).
So, yes, this gifset certainly shows Jensen looking Misha over like he’s a tasty snack but the fact that he’s doing it in the context of Misha dressing in his clothes–and that brings Jensen evident pleasure and enjoyment–is even more significant. It seems like the floodgates are open on the clothes thing now and Jensen, for one, is going to take full advantage of it.
