wow um okay…. i didn’t even plan a speech but here i go *clears throat* id like to thank jensen for having a massive crush on misha that made him want to touch him so much throughout this episode, and also the spn tptb for letting jensen direct 11x03 and also the camera guys that created the footage of these amazing moments, and also the cw network for making spn happen so that everything could come together and give us a whole episode of deancas hurt/comfort complete with face cradling and protectiveness *wipes tear from eye* we are truly blessed to have witnessed this truly amazing occasion goodnight
I was at Asylum 15 at the weekend and during Osric’s panel he was asked whether he thinks there’ll be any Destiel moments in season 11. It is markedly different in England when Destiel questions are asked because nobody boos and everyone just accepts that it’s a part of the show even if they don’t ship it. Anyway Osric said yes he was sure there would be because most of them aren’t written. He said it’s difficult to know what is written and what is just as a result of Misha and Jensen being really close friends. He said that they always look at each other like that in real life, off set too. Make of that what you will, Tumblr!
My head is exploding. During
last night’s rewatch (which took us through 6x06), my husband made a Cockles
comment. Not Destiel. Freaking Cockles.
Here’s the thing, I don’t tell him about all the fanish craziness. I don’t say anything about fandom unless he
asks. He’s a nerd like me, but doesn’t
get nearly as obsessive about stuff.
But, when I’m into something he tries to get into it, too. That’s why he decided he wanted to watch
Supernatural too, and why he made me stop watching season 9 and go back to the
beginning with him.
Early on he looked up stuff about the show. He found an article mentioning how Jensen
shut down a bisexual fan when she asked a question about Dean’s sexuality. The article talked about Jensen’s
unwillingness to engage in the the Dean/Cas stuff, and how Misha is the
opposite and will even bring it up on his own.
Thus my husband’s early intro to Destiel, before we’d even gotten to
season 4 in our rewatch.
Last night we’re talking about the show and the cast and I mention that
Misha’s wife is an author, not really thinking about it. I should have anticipated the “Oh, what
has she written?” that came next.
I pull up her Goodreads page for him, and bam, there’s the threesome book.
He and I spend some time teasing each other about it and all that, and
then he gets up and goes into the kitchen and I think we’re done talking about
it…
And then he says, “Maybe that’s why the guy who plays Dean is so
unwilling to talk about the thing between his character and the angel.”
I’m like, “Uh, what do you mean?”
“Well, you said the guy who plays Cas is pretty open and out
there, and this proves it. So, maybe the
other actor doesn’t want to talk about it because they’ve been having
threesomes.”
“Like–?”
“With each other.”
Guys, my husband suggested to my face that Jensen and Misha might be
sleeping together. His brain freaking went there. With very little prompting. Without ever seeing any actual Cockles
anything, as far as I know.
There you have it, everyone. If
a random straight dude can spontaneously put Cockles together, I don’t think
anyone can say bunk about it.
