Hi there!! Since you're one of the bigger Cockles blogs, would you be able to publish this ask so that your followers know the Cockles Big Bang is happening again this year? We'd love to get some more writer signups before they close this weekend! :)
So, as some people may have noticed, the original 2016 Cockles Big Bang blog got unexpectedly taken down just before Christmas with no notice or warning. I have NO connection to the individual/s who were supposed to be running it but as they seem to have abandoned the project, and as I’m super passionate about both Cockles and fanworks, I’ve stepped in to run this instead.
One problem: I don’t have access to any of the previous signup documents or have any idea who was supposed to be taking part, meaning I am starting this again from scratch. If you signed up before, you now have to sign up again, otherwise you won’t be able to take part. I do apologize for this and if there was a way I could contact the original organizers I’d do it; but I don’t at all have a way to do this. However, all the deadlines have been shifted back to match this, so you all still have plenty of time to sign up and then be wonderfully creative in the first half of 2016.
I’ve written out an information page with a schedule as well as a rules and FAQ page and created a signup form (which can be found here and is also linked on the blog) and I’ll update this blog regularly with announcements and information - I’m determined to make this happen.
Please reblog this; please help me get the word out about this event, because I’m very excited about it and would love it if we got a good number of signups. I know there are a lot of very talented people in the Cockles fandom and I can’t wait to see what happens when we all work together.
