Come on, man, can’t you see? I’m poison, Sam. People get close to me, they get killed or worse. You know, I tell myself that I help more people than I hurt and I tell myself that I’m doing it all for the right reasons and I believe that but I can’t - I won’t - drag anybody through the muck with me, not anymore.
oh the tables have turned and dean is the one who made mistakes for the sake of saving his family and left everything upended and cas isn’t condemning him or treating him like a traitor, he’s consoling him and i really hope they bring this up at some point—that dean was so harsh when cas was the one making the mistake and cas has nothing but forgiveness and understanding in his eyes and this is why i love castiel. and i love dean too and i was heartbroken with him in season six too but i think he lost his damn mind a little.
