Wow, the new info on angel praying make every Dean Cas parting scenes 200% sadder, including the whole s06. And when Dean kicked Cas out of the bunker, for the first time in his life, Cas was unable to detect whether or not Dean wanted him in his life anymore. Other times, angel Cas knew that in one way or another, Dean won't completely push him away. Human Cas didn't have that certainty. He did't ask Dean why he's being kicked out because he was afraid this was the end.

elizabethrobertajones:

I can’t believe you’d say something like this to me. I thought we were friends.

Because now I’m just thinking about Cas looking up startled when Dean approaches him in 9x06, and he’s taken off-guard because he’s been so used to knowing where Dean is at any moment.

Maybe he didn’t even fully realise it himself: it properly started in Purgatory. Knowing where Dean was every second of the day just became a second nature, a part of the torment of that place. But it didn’t go away even when they were out and Dean technically stopped searching for him. Cas came to rely on it - he could tell you where Dean was from the other side of the universe.

After Dean vocalised that desperate last “I need you” at the crypt Cas felt that longing spike so hard in a wordless, unspoken prayer, and somewhere far off where he was free to think for himself he wondered if the prayer Dean wasn’t saying had changed somehow from merely wondering where Cas was. He was already right there in the room with Dean - how could he be subconsciously reaching out for Cas to be any closer? And then Dean gripped Cas’s sleeve and Cas cupped his face and for the first time that longing cut off as Dean slowly realised that Cas was only healing him, not killing him…

But this is a different lack of that longing: Dean is right there smiling at Cas, and Cas has no idea how Dean feels. When Cas was darting all around the country on his Biggersons coffee crawl he could pinpoint constantly where Dean was in relation to him from halfway across the continent, every time, instantly. Cas practically navigated by it.

He could close his eyes right now and Dean wouldn’t even be there.

“Do you have any idea how hard it was? When I fell to earth, I didn’t just lose my powers. I –”

Cas, in the last episode, was giving Dean a cold shoulder, he wasn’t super thrilled to see him, being kicked out of the bunker without explanation. How is he feeling about him right now. [x]

1: yes she thought that

2: she’s not wrong, that is literally the plot of the episode

3: Having recently re-watched this it strikes me even more that she seems pretty sure he’s gay from the start, especially since literally every female on the show and half the dudes compliment his smoking appearance so there has to be a canon reason why she was thinking of him as “helpful babysitting friend” not “I should really hit that” when the show otherwise portrays everyone as impressed with his face.

4: She totally saw Dean hanging around outside her house at the end of the episode to give Cas a lift into the fan fiction gap.

5: She knows Steve brought his boyfriend to her house while she was out.

6: Considering they cleaned up after a fight/disposed of a body there, the house was presumably suspiciously clean and tidy (and smelled of cleaning products) compared to how she left it.

7: Once she realises no.6 she is going to be forever convinced that Dean and Cas did it on every surface in her kitchen.

Sometimes I can’t believe this scene actually happened.

I felt like I fell headfirst into a fanfiction

Wow Dean, that’s not creepy at all. Stalker.

As soon as I saw this gifset, I thought, “It’s just the slow-mo effect.” I have this thing where I can’t believe things really happened in the show, so, you know.

So I opened the ep to rewatch the scene and prove to myself (I’m FINE) the giffed version was exaggerating the effect…

EXCEPT as soon as Dean ends the call to Sam we get a shot of Cas in the store and Dean looking at him, and in that moment this incredibly sad little music starts playing in the background, then as soon as the scene is cut the next one starts where the very first thing you hear is, “He dumped me, Jace. In the cafeteria.” [little sad music still carrying over from the previous moment, and then it starts slowly fading] “In front of everyone…” [at this point the music has faded completely and the girl goes on talking about her oddly familiar situation without any soundtrack in the background]

I AM CRYING FROM LAUGHING SO HARD OH MY GOD

He can afford a hotel room.  Instead, he fucks Cas in the backseat of his car.

Dean wants it to be close, claustrophobic, hot.  The thought of laying Cas down on the dingy dead-white sheets of a hotel room seems unbearable; they don’t deserve the touch of Cas’s body.   The peeling dirty wallpaper doesn’t deserve the sound of Cas’s voice as he moans, quiet and desperate.  Dean wants it like this, always: the sweat-slick skin of Cas’s back sliding against the leather of the Impala’s backseat, the windows fogging up with the heat of their breaths.  The car traps every noise that Cas makes and doesn’t let anything escape.  When he pushes into Cas’s body, the air is so still that Dean can feel the tiny cry that Cas lets out against Dean’s neck.

He slides his hand up Cas’s thigh, urging Cas to wrap his leg around Dean’s hip.

Using his body to apologize—Dean’s always been like this, and he’s lived so long this way that he doesn’t know how to be anything else.  He’s jumped in front of bullets for family and gone to hell for his brother, and this is how he apologizes to Cas now, gentle feather-soft touches and slow thrusts that leave Cas trembling underneath his fingertips.  I’m sorry I made you leave, he says when he traces his hands up the shaking planes of Cas’s arms; I wish you could have stayed, he says when he presses a kiss against the delicate skin behind Cas’s ear.  Cas is gasping, his head thrown back, his hands wrapped around Dean’s biceps, digging hard into the muscle like he can anchor himself, like he’s going to fly into a thousand pieces if he doesn’t hold on hard enough.   When Dean leans down and presses a kiss against Cas’s lips, Cas gasps like he’s drowning and surges up against him, desperate for the taste of Dean’s mouth.

“Baby,” Dean whispers against Cas’s mouth, sliding his hand into Cas’s hair and gripping tight.  Cas lets out a hard breath that ends in the tiniest whimper and comes, hot between their bodies, and Dean bears down against Cas, rubbing it into their skin.  When Dean comes deep inside Cas it’s almost an afterthought, a coda, but for some reason he’s shaking, anyway.  Cas draws him down and tucks Dean’s head under his chin.  His breaths are racing and he can’t calm them.

Cas’s blue vest is crumped in the space between the two front seats.

“You’re human,” Dean says into the damp stillness of the air, “but you’re still saving me.”

Cas strokes his hand through  Dean’s hair, and doesn’t say anything for a long time.  When he finally speaks again, he says, “You can take me  back to the store in the morning.”

Dean thinks maybe he’s supposed to say thank you, or I’m sorry.  He kisses the bare skin of Cas’s shoulder instead, and doesn’t say anything at all.

When the sun comes up, they crawl out of the backseat.  Cas puts his blue vest back on.  It’s wrinkled.  He guesses he’s supposed to give Cas up again, now.

“I’ll drop you off,” Dean says, and starts the car.

How Jensen makes Misha laugh - the look aka flirty faces, winking; dirty talking and shaking his hips, ok.

“Another time Misha was trying to get out a line and I was just off-camera. I switched the lines up completely and made it really obscene and probably not stuff I would repeat in front of strangers, or even friends, but he couldn’t make it through the scene, [he] just busted out laughing.” [x]
