While Dean is still mind melded he opens his duffle and inside is a piece of clothing that was worn by Cas. He sniffs it and gets whinny and mopey because ge misses him. It gets so bad that Sam calls Cas. When he arrives Dean is ecstatic. Rubbing his head under Cas’ chin and licking his dominants mouth is involved. uwu

He was being driven by instincts that were not his own. But that didn’t stop him from acting on them. From whining and growling at things. From fetching trash and sticking his head out of the car window. He could smell things he’d never smelt before and it was startling. But somehow felt right.

However Dean had never expected the reaction he was going to experience searching through his duffle. The scent hit him and he whined low in his throat. A long and sad sound. Mournful and Sam’s head snapped up. Watched as Dean pulled a shirt out and buries his face against it. Snuffing and whining. Sam could feel a lump in his throat at the sounds. Dean said something into the fabric and the muffled word mate didn’t reach Sam’s human ears.
