8x17 and 8x19, in terms of showing Dean & Castiel’s romantic relationship, are very clever.

They didn’t say that Dean and Castiel love each other, what they do is having casual audience side with Dean. Allowing them to see Castiel the way Dean does. Nothing about it is sexual. It is about love, faith, and devotion. 

Isn’t Destiel such an old-fashioned one among the promiscuous culture of fictional couples in today’s media?
