If you look at Destiel S4-S6 from the perspective of an angel?

Michael asked Castiel to go pick up his sword for him, Castiel went.  Picked up the sword, fell in love with the sword, and set Michael on fire for it.

Update.  Again from the perspective of an angel.  Castiel attempted to raise a child with the stolen sword.  The child was also stolen, from the devil.

This is actually pretty normal sibling behaviour.  If Michael didn’t want any of this to happen, he shouldn’t have asked his brother to run an errand for him.
