Can we just talk about this moment right here? Because I like to think that they are holding hands, not just shaking hands. Surely Pratchett/Gaiman would have written that they shook hands if it was just that. I like to think that they held each others’ hand like it was the thing that was grounding them. I mean, facing up to the devil is a pretty big thing. And they would be fighting for Earth, for their liv- er, existences, for their sushi restaurants, and for their friendship. I like to think that it’s them facing up to what they have to do, after trying to avoid any sort of conflict, because really, once you’ve been around the same old world and the same old friend for six millennia, you get used to a guy.
