(i work from home and my life is basically Rear Window so i end up with a lot of fic ideas)

  • i bought this fixer-upper house thinking i could handle all the maintenance but i’m in way over my head and you’re my rough-around-the-edges, hot-as-hell neighbor would you mind helping me out? au
  • we’ve owned this roofing company together for five years but you were a total idiot and fell off a roof and seeing you in the hospital made me realize i’m actually totally in love with you au
  • i work from home and watch you on your morning runs and oh, i think i should take up morning running too au
  • your german shepherd jumped your fence while you were at work so i caught him and now we’re hanging out playing tug of war i know you want your dog back but now i love him too au
  • i took your parking space once on accident and you left a passive aggressive note on my windshield; i thought it was funny so now i do it for your progressively aggressive aggressive notes au
  • you just got divorced so you bought the house next door and you started dropping by to share leftovers with me because you never learned to cook for one au
  • a package came in the mail for you but i thought it was mine so i opened it but it’s a bunch of size large lingerie and i know for a fact you’re a single dude and the only non-awkward way to proceed is by telling you i’m into it au
  • i got drunk one night and you weren’t home so i accidentally stole your porch swing but now i can’t hang it on my porch because you would recognize it so i painted it purple, waited three months, and then hung it up but you still recognized it and stole it back while i was at work au
  • your kid keeps throwing shit in my backyard but he’s afraid of my creepy-ass old house so you come over on like a daily basis to retrieve frisbees and whatnot and we always end up talking for hours about whatever au
  • you’re a house inspector with a seemingly unbridled passion for house inspection and even though it’s really weird it’s also kind of mesmerizing watching you go through my new house finding grounded outlets with an expression of utter glee au
  • you’re agoraphobic so you ask me to pick up groceries for you and i leave them on the porch and every morning i find little origami thank you notes on my windowsill au
