Destiel implications aside, the scene with the two men falling in love made me so fucking happy.

I’m pretty sure it was established in 5x14 that cupids don’t cause all people to fall in love, just for special circumstances, such as with vessel bloodlines. And yet the love between two men - who most likely won’t be able to reproduce, so it’s not about that - was deemed important enough by someone in heaven that they sent a cupid to get them together.

Gay people are important, our love is important, and I’m so happy this was put in the episode.

Can we take a moment to discuss my fan theory that the blood Sam is coughing up is actually the demon blood, and his body is getting rid of it forever as a step in becoming a servant of Heaven and closing the gates? Because it would be a meaningful end to the demon blood storyline, and it would mean that Sammy is also not dying which I think is gr8.

I thought it was the Winchester family theme? I don’t know the name of it, but it’s that piano theme that plays whenever the brothers make an important decision about how family matters above all else. (Like in “A Very Supernatural Christmas” or “Point of No Return”).

Which means that Dean begging Cas to help Sam? That’s Dean talking to family.

So: romantic theme or family theme.
